This year the theme is "My Earth, My Responsibility , which is the need of the hour.

The Singapore Language Organization was set up primarily to engage students and adults with literary arts and building a nationwide platform for language engagement. We  initiated first such Hindi language awards competition in Singapore for public participation.
Prerna Awards will be conducted as Public speaking and writing competition in Singapore. We aim to create positive engagement with the community bonding them with the language beyond the books.


The competition’s main aim is to foster excellence in creativity by providing the platform to develop their expressive talents and creative writing skills. By publishing the works of participants, it is hoped that others will be motivated to write and express as well. We hope to make language not as school work, but as a form of communication and self-expression – one of the most important 21st century skills.The first Prerna Award for Hindi was to find The HINDI ENRICHED PERSONALITY AWARD ie.HEP was won by Sanjay Kumar who won prizes in all three categories.

The first prize for Public speaking in children category was won by Sarthak Gupta and Abeer Dahiya in the youth category both are student of NPS international school in Singapore and adult category prize went to Sanjay Kumar.

The winners for Poetry were Rahul Pareek for open category, Sarthak Gupta from NPS international for children category and Nandin Porwal from GIIS Queenstown.

The top prize for Story writing went to Saamiya Khan from East coast primary School in children’s group, Anshu Tukol from GIIS for Youth and Anjali Tripathy from Open category. The competition & award ceremony was streamed live at RINGS.TV & can be seen under Hindi channel. Mamta aims to make the awards a global platform for the Indian diaspora's younger generation learning Indigenous mother tongue across the world.
